& what would stop you from ordering another receiver & then sending it too a friend so they could also get satelite?

seems to be a kinda trend going on now that the old cards are not any good...I'm trying to get 4 rec and then 2 friends are going to get 1 each from me...only problem is collecting from them each month as I see it..also do not keep phone line plugged in!!! need to get before NFL!!! can't you find someone local to do same thing???

I live in Canada, Direct TV is illegal...

Doesnt Direct TV have some kind of system in place to prevent this? Someone once told me that they brought a receiver to their Moms place & it stopped working after a while...

I think it was Vegas is dead...

Any more info would be great...

This Canadian TV is killing me.... I hardly get any NCAAF... or NCAAB

SS - they make sure that all of the receivers are plugged in to the same phone line.

After a couple of months with no phone call from the receivers and they shut them down

Not true about the recievers being shut down because you DO NOT have to have them in a phone line at all...they recommend that so you can just order movies through the TV,but if not plugged in you have to call for movies and there is a surcharge...now about getting it in Canada I do no know...seems if near a US city you should be able to get using the same angles etc.

Cedar, I had direct TV, but it was a black market card...

Now I just want to pay for it but would rather split the bill with someone & we each have a receiver at our House... I am not allowed to legally order Direct TV unless I have a US address....

SS, you are correct...if you "had" DTV (and so did I) and an old cowboy card, that means if someone buys it "downhere" and orders xtra reciever/card...you should be able to get DTV....Like I said, I am splitting w/2 other guys...I have 2 recievers and they each have 1...no tele line connected...need to find someone that trusts you and is kinda close...I'm way way down here in Tx and already have my deal...surely you can find someone?? GL and let me know if I can help with any sneaky tech stuff as I "know someone " who used to program if you know what I mean>>>>

Sorry about the Direct T.V. though as the P4 cards are completely fvcked and the corporation is looking into the development of a new style of card that will more or less burn the board in you IRD (receiver)if you fvck with the card
